My name is Cass and I’m a lifestyle blogger and mental health advocate. I have a background in makeup artistry with a diploma from Blanche Macdonald and a film and acting certificate from Capilano University. I love all things creative— writing, music, photography, Instagram, YouTube and playing with makeup so this blog allows me to showcase all of that and share it with you!
I started writing this blog back in 2014, and originally it was intended to be all about beauty and makeup. Although those are still things I like to write about, the direction and style of Pacific Beauty has evolved, just as I have. So, in a brief little blurb, here’s what you’ll find and learn about me through this blog:
-I have struggled with mental health for a lot of my life. One day, I decided to start being more open and share my experience with the world, and I’m so glad I did because when I hear that I’ve reached even one person, it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished so much.
-I am incredibly fortunate to be supported by a wonderful family and friends, and one thing I think they would all agree on is that I am nothing if not honest. My opinions are strong, and my delivery can be blunt. I am not someone who is willing to get to where I want to be the quick and easy way. I love what I do with all my heart and am not willing to sacrifice my integrity and authenticity for clout.
-I love to support and showcase small and local businesses. I have worked (and still do) in the restaurant industry for over ten years, and it’s amazing to see how many of my friends and colleagues have gone on to open their own restaurants and done some amazing things.
-I’m all about less is more when it comes to makeup, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good face “beat” every once in a while (lashes are my fav). I will always have a passion for makeup and although my day-to-day life has me in a much more natural look, when I go out, I love to get dolled up!
-Working out has become a game-changer for me. I mostly work out because of how amazing it makes my mind feel, but I’ve been falling more in love with the rush of weight lifting and seeing how strong my body has gotten.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of who I am and what I write about. And hey, you’re here already so you might as well take a peek at some of my posts, and while you’re at it, you can subscribe to be notified every time I post something new!
